Welcome to a new and historic chapter at Village Green Elementary!
It is with immense pride and gratitude that I share our momentous transition to a classical education school model. This marks a new beginning not only for our school but also for our amazing school district, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, as we become the first traditional public school to adopt this rigorous and time-honored curriculum. This is more than a change in what we teach; it’s a profound commitment to how we teach.
Classical education, with its origins in the great traditions of Western thought, is a time-tested approach to forming the minds and hearts of students. It’s built on the liberal arts, which teach students how to think, reason, and communicate with clarity, poise, and grace. Our students will engage with the enduring ideas and stories of civilization as we guide them in the lifelong pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
This rich foundation is the very heart of our mission to cultivate thoughtful, curious, and virtuous students who are prepared to live with personal integrity and engage in meaningful citizenship. Our vision is to be a transformative center of intellectual and moral excellence, equipping students with the profound wisdom of the past and the insight to navigate the future with confidence, humility, and honor. It is a privilege to lead our professional, committed, and caring staff who are wholeheartedly dedicated to this mission. Their passion ensures that every child receives a unique and rigorous educational experience.
This shift has been made possible through our incredible partnership with the University of Florida Hamilton School of Classical and Civic Education. Their expert collaboration and support have been invaluable in preparing us for this exciting journey.

We continue to build on a strong foundation of excellence, as a State of Florida A-rated school and an M-DCPS Gold STEM Designated school. We remain committed to a rich and well-rounded education, supported by our expanding Community Education Program, offering a variety of after-school enrichment courses, including art, music, dance, soccer, chess, robotics, coding, and cheer.
Together with school families, and our community and business partners, we are building a legacy of intellectual curiosity, moral virtue, and lifelong learning. We look forward to sharing this remarkable journey with you!
